A meeting of the European Commission and the International Monetary Fund on Monday will be at an expert level and is expected to yield no decisions, a spokesman for the European Union executive said.
The meeting follows agreement by euro zone finance ministers on Sunday to approve a 30-billion-euro emergency aid mechanism for debt-plagued Greece. "It is not meant to be a conclusive meeting. No statement is planned," Commission spokesman Amadeu Tardio told a news briefing. "It is a follow-up meeting at an expert level." >>
